My name is Monique Mijnals, originally from Suriname but raised in the Netherlands. Over the past four years, I have made regular trips to Nigeria. My visits are driven by several important motivations. First and foremost, I wanted to experience authentic African culture through direct engagement rather than relying on media portrayals. I also embarked on a spiritual quest to reconnect with my ancestral heritage and DNA roots. Additionally, I aimed to deepen my understanding of African cultural practices.
My exploration began on Lagos Island, a destination unfamiliar to most people without direct Nigerian experience. This location proved ideal as my entry point into Nigeria. Each visit has provided me with extraordinary experiences. I am dedicated to sharing my travel insights with others who are ready to discover Nigeria firsthand. To facilitate this, I have created a detailed travel package itinerary offering guided experiences across both Lagos Island and the Nigerian Mainland.
